At Last!

Once upon a time (okay, last year) I got this grand idea to not only give my trusty but somewhat neglected website a makeover, but to completely rebuild it. Without getting into the nitty gritty WordPress stuff, I decided I was going to switch my site from Elementor to Kadence, and in the process, I was going to give it a shiny new look. Fast forward to well over a year later, and I still had a placeholder single page for my website. Turns out that when there’s a lot going on and you want to make ALL the things, it becomes very easy to push your actual website to the back burner.

Until now! Behold, my new website, which should load faster and should be quicker and easier for me to update, including using my blog, so maybe I won’t go two years between blog posts again. I used to blog quite a bit many websites and domains ago, back before most social media was a thing. I kind of miss it.

While I put this new site together, I tried to test everything out multiple times before making it go live out into the internet, but there is always the chance that I missed a tiny thing here or there. Bear with me as I sort things out. I’m mostly just excited to have a website again. Hooray!

(I’m including an illustration of a bear with an umbrella on this post, because it actually rained a very tiny bit today, which was very exciting. To me, at least.)
